The best use of Clipart = Trash

Over the years I have worked with many different clients; working on websites, print designs and logos but consistently the company newsletter is left out of these design revamps.

After critiquing a wide variety of customer and employee newsletters, I have noticed many common pitfalls- clipart, constant font changes, and text sizing mishaps. Now the title of this post should tell you flat out how I feel about clipart.

You take the time to customize your website, you take the time to develop and customize a brand logo. You’ve even put thought into the business card you hand out but, for some reason this attention to detail seems lacking in company newsletters.

My question is why? Are your customers and employees not worth the effort? Or do you think the redesign of this would be too expensive. Before you publish your next newsletter, give me a call and stay away from the clipart.
